The plan from here on out will be to get the Beta out to the testers while I finish off repaints. Then shortly after I’m planning on releasing a “beta upgrade” to those who have already purchased 1.8 for them to try, so I can get early feedback before making the update publically available to purchase (For new customers).
I have provisionally excluded areas from v1.5 (Reloaded) as I want to rebuild the Keedlestone > Corton Bay corridor, not to mention when I rebuilt Keedlestone originally for the 1.7 update in right path, I had built a weird sort of ring road that goes around Keedlestone City and it’s being an absolute pain to convert to left path.
Since 1.8 you can expect the following:
- 18 years of chrono events, meaning you will be able to drive variations of routes with diversions, accidents and operators!
- The area from Rumford Peak District to Mustang Farm has been completely rebuilt from the ground up (Excluding the Rumford Fishing Centre road).
- The area from the T junction petrol stations all the way into Snowmere has been rebuilt from scratch to solve FPS issues with multiple tiles loading at the same time.
- Expanding on the previous point: It now takes longer to get to Snowmere Lakeside.
- Snowmere has been split up into 2 sections, Snowmere and Snowmere Lakeside. It takes an extra 10 minutes to get to Lakeside, around a severe hillside road (I wouldn’t try this in snow).
- Multiple extra routes, including hospital shuttles, rail replacements and take-over scenarios.
(There’s probably more that I have forgot to mention, I promise I’ll note everything I can think of in the meantime in the changelog for the release)
